After picking up my iMac in Aarhus last Tuesday, I decided that it had to be mounted open system on the wall on Friday. Godtnok I had a very early guard, but I WOULD bring it up, and simply could not wait any longer. It was several reasons for it. I had purchased a Logitech S530 desktop, and a JBL Creature II speaker set. And then there was the part holes in the wall I should have covered. I had the wall bracket, but lacked a shelf, so I paid a brief visit in Silvan on the Fish Market. At around. 13 I began what would prove to be a serious nightmare. Everything just went wrong. First, I should have the foot of the iMac. After the band for a while, I loosened it. Not completely unexpected was the fixed with eight (8) Torx screws. The seven first smoke out easily. The last was simply fixed, so it ended up almost got destroyed notch. At that time, the wife came home and gave a hand. She thought I could remove the handle from the Torx screwdriver and then use the screwdriver. I thought it sounded stupid, but tried and damned if the screw did not come out So far so good. So it was indeed just wanted to slap the wall bracket behind, and so should the cow be shaved. But, but ... The first part of the operation went perfectly. The second part was crap. It was like the bracket was too high. Ihf. could I / we do not get the two bolts into the sides. There was a small, on the fine aluminum plate was made of. The I would have of. Then forward with my dremmel and cut the shit off. That did not go so well. The massive aluminum was evidently more than it would help. Dremlen was piping hot and was so completely.
I swore, and decided open system then to scrap the wall mounting. Unfortunately, they sat mentioned Torx screws so tightly that I could not get them out again. I was so desperate that I considered to drill them out. After just having thought about it one more time, I dropped the idea when I carried afraid that would come shavings from the screws into the iMac.
I stood in the bad situation that my iMac was useless. The foot could not come back, and it was impossible to put the bracket on Needless to add, I was furious. Simmering with rage I went into the kitchen to nabbed a cup of coffee. The woman continued in the living room and I heard something that sounded like a hammer in use !!! Soon after came the cheers outbreaks, so I flew into the room. The mistress had been mounted wall bracket. It just needed to be screwed firmly. With a little violence and a spanner in the appropriate size was shit on.
His mood improved noticeably. Now it was just to drill four punch holes and put the iMac up. I could use two of the old holes. They just needed to drill bit. Not unexpectedly, it turned out to just exactly who it was impossible to drill hole with screwdriver, after I had bought a fine new lives for this occasion. Both the neighbor and upstairs neighbor was obviously not home, so I called Winnie-the girl (my daughter). She would only be at home. 19. I have previously borrowed her borhammer and had to wait a few hours she came home ...
Meanwhile, I tried just to start the machine up, to see if it has been damaged by the rough treatment it had been during the day. No problem - it played fine as before. open system I / We just got measured up to the shelf, and then it was just waiting for the said borhammer.
As borhammeren came it was just drilling the last holes. The shelf teased course. There was a rather deficient manual with it, but that was not exactly what route bracket end would come. So the shelf ended up pouring down. Something I got fixed the next day.
I thought even that has come to look pretty good. However, there is a little lacking. The cables from the speakers to be in a small cable tray, and the table and the small shelf should be replaced with a large white board. It is the third screen open system hanging there, and it's also the first time it is inserted in something similar to a perfect height.
Mouse and keyboard teased open system also to start with. It took a little time before I found out that it was because I had used "Steermouse" to the Mighte Mouse I got. After removing it, I got access to all via the Logitech Control Center System Preferences.
I did not have high expectations for the new speakers. Bought them actually because they fit well and the design is fat. Fortunately I was postivt surprised. The sound is much better than the old Creative Inspire T3100 This entry was posted in Mac by admin. Bookmark the permalink.
