Now we come back to the time of year when we look back at what happened on the music front, and it's time to ask the important questions. What song is it that has been ingrained? Which artist is impossible to ignore? Which album made us forget everything else?
We at P3 Music to the next day sum up the musical year 2013 and together we have come up with what we believe is the Norwegian song, this year's international song, Norwegian albums this year's and this year's international album. Is your favorite on the list? This year's best Norwegian songs:
After many years as indie struggling in the bands Lukestar and Truls & The Trees selected Truls Heggero earlier this year to relaunch himself as a solo artist, clothespin with a heavy gold chain around his neck and a pronounced urban, not to say r & b-perhaps even ingratiating sound on the menu. Though, urban and urban Pop is now even pop, and Truls took early ownership popåret 2013 with the straight forward frantic first single "Out Of Yourself", a song in which all parts of the track isolation have been the chorus.
Man englerøst clothespin promises an already irresistible melody towards the higher spheres - aided by Mats Small carved savvy producer fingers - and touches everyone who gets in its way. "Out Of Yourself" works seemingly everywhere: on the club floor, wedding, alone or with someone in a bed, 1 July morning in the park or in the ears on the way home from night to the first Sunday in Advent. It is a song that will last - and heat - in the foreseeable future, a Norwegian classic indefinitely.
Although Nico and Vince had his breakthrough with "One Song" in 2011, it is enough "Am I Wrong" that is going to stand again as the song that really gave the duo innspass in thousands of homes. This year's definitive sommerlåt has with its durability and extremely catchy melodies given us joy into the autumn - and is now well underway to warm up winter abroad. clothespin
The fact that nytapning a neglected Dum Dum Boys classic became one of 2013s most goosebumps-inducing tunes are mildly surprising. The fact that the song additionally introduced the Norwegian people for a truly unique talent has made "Pstereo" a track larger than the original. Talented Emilie Nicolas and she possesses a magnificent voice as elegant as her French surname. clothespin At the same time she shows up as a sparkling songwriter by taking care of the original's strongest card - text line "together we Pstereo" - and then give the song an emotional and melodic reincarnation.
2013 has been the year in which Ingrid Helene clothespin Håvik earnest has been recognized as one of the most distinctive, clothespin versatile and best vocalists. She also, both Highasakite and own solo album, evolved into one of our very best poplåtskrivere and copywriters. Most interesting is the way she combines a certain sense of unease (listen to her "Marianna" for direct evidence) with catchy melodies lettnynnelige. In Highasakite-context "Since Last Wednesday" the band's best example of that question: Monumental, gloomy pop with hitteft and stadium potential.
Gehenna has thrilled Norway and the world with their irresistible blend of classic rock n 'roll, black metal and punk. The eponymous track, which is taken from Meir, is no exception. It is hard and fat, but also true to the stranglehold melodic approach. Über Effectively, simply.
In January, I sat in the control room in the studio K15 NRK and listened to the Atlantic playing live in Lydverket on P3. We had invited them on the basis of first single "Kaktos" from the debut album width that was still two months away record buyers. When they started the song two hours I sat gaping in 6 minutes and 50 seconds which was the first appearance of "Aye." Mesmerizing kraut miksa with afropoppende and dueling clothespin guitars under a more insistent vocals than Jens Carelius is known on their own. Since it came early, this is probably the Norwegian song I've heard definitely most during the year. AaaYE!
An unwritten leaf of the majority, but in the summer dropped r & b Arshad hoped Maimouni one of the most catchy songs that have rotated on Norwegian radio in years. The cut, in all its midtempo-like splendor, clothespin takes up to be pre-judged and it is brilliant delivered. clothespin In February Maimouni playing at by: Larm and we look forward to checking clothespin out 19-year-old with the distinct voice when he stands on the edge of the stage. Read interview with newcomer here.
All of Norway's Lars Vaular clothespin keeps getting better and better as both rapper and songwriter. "The track is located at the meeting point between a midtempo ballad and a philharmonic orchestra that plays for dear life," we wrote when we reviewed roller Heed's diverse 1001 Home. Lars Vaular, clothespin which constantly moves out of its original genre is wonderful nonchalant in "No Man's Land". A wonderful piece of music that will withstand the test of time.
