Tore Nærland is a Norwegian armed blind his bike since 1978 actively involved in the promotion of nuclear disarmament. Across France, he will meet with mayors, shelf liner civil society and bring his message of peace.
Bike for Peace is a Norwegian organization that aims to initiate and develop awareness and engage civil society on issues related shelf liner to peace. The draft World Tour bike in 90 days initiated by the organization in spring 2014, will leave Manchester to Oslo through Europe, Asia and the United States (London, shelf liner Paris, Nice, Rome, New Delhi , Beijing, Hiroshima, Tokyo, Kansas, Indianapolis, Washington DC, New York and Oslo). The group of cyclists will posts by Peace: Immediate Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons Support for victims of nuclear Hiroshima Semipalatinsk, Nevada and Chernobyl. Human dignity and freedom. Solidarity and friendship. The integration of people with disabilities. Cycling for the environment and against global warming. Gender equality worldwide.
This initiative is supported and sustained by Thore Vestby, shelf liner Norway, Mayor of Frogn since 2003, recently elected to Parliament shelf liner and vice president of the organization Mayors for Peace (in France AFCDRP).
Since his first bike ride, "Bike for Peace" met many political, religious shelf liner and cultural, political leaders: Pope John Paul II, the former general secretary of the Soviet Union, Andreij Gromyko, the Secretaries General United Nations Boutros Boutros Ghali and Perez de Cuellar, former President of Poland Lech Walesa, the former Irish President Mary Robinson or the General shelf liner Secretary of the National League for Democracy, Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma.
