On 14 October the seventh store of Belgian furniture maker Kewlox officially opened in Antwerp. The six other Belgian Kewlox showrooms are located in Ghent, Anderlecht, Kraainem, Liege, Mons and Leuze (near Namur).
The modular Kewlox concept cubes of the 1960s today relies still on the same three basic elements: iron cornices, wooden slats and panels in a material of choice, without tools, glue or screws to craft a durable piece of furniture with a lifetime guarantee of quality together.
The story of Kewlox goes back to 1958, when the English cubes engineer Kewley cubes introduces a simple system with wood panels and iron corners. A year later acquires a Brusselois production license and he founded the family business cubes Kewlox. Meanwhile, the furniture manufacturer is also active in the Netherlands, France and Germany.
With the opening of a showroom in Antwerp Kewlox expanding cubes its store base to seven. The Antwerp office is located right next to another design icon of St. Michielskaai: black and white Roosmalen house, designed cubes by architect Bob van Reeth.
