3rd June 2008 - Today could be seen as a historic day because today became the first recording since passed the act of voluntary organizations. In 2007 started to receive applications for organizations wijnrek that wanted to join one organization to greater coordination between them.
The Hon. John Dalli, Minister for Social Policy distributed certificates to those applied VOS. He said that the purpose of this exercise is not to stifle the initiative of these organizations, but to ensure that standards are met. The Minister added that the work of the Commissioner of Voluntary Organisations is to guide these organizations and ensure that there is more synchronization between them.
In his speech the Minister congratulated all the organizations today have officially registered with the Commissioner, to continue their work in the social sector and reiterated that their job is to fill the gap that might occur in society . The Minister also urged all Voluntary Organisations wijnrek to register with the Commissioner of Voluntary Organisations.
