Our discussions around the Schneider Electric Marathon 2014 Paris continued with one of the organizers of the race: Thibault Vellard, responsible for running races in ASO - Amaury Sport Organisation. He unveils for us behind the scenes of the preparation of this global event.
For me, the marathon Paris is above all a major event of running and a strong time for the whole community running since it is the 2nd largest marathon in the world.
We will always plate rack take more than a year in advance to organize this event. Moreover we receive plate rack the enrollment of the next edition bulletins before the start of the race for the current year is given.
It is a hive and a mammoth task! Ten poles to work smoothly plate rack marathon: logistics, supplier management and service, marketing work, timekeeping, managing riders who are 35% foreign ... All these tasks are placed end to end work colossal!
We are fifty people working on the organization of the marathon but we also work with many providers. D-Day, plate rack 3000 Volunteers will be on a war footing from 6:30 in the morning and even much earlier (5h) for those who install the starting line. About 500 people have also been requisitioned several days prior to departure to accommodate runners and receive their bib.
This year's Paris Marathon is 50 000 members, 138 nationalities, 23 tonnes of bananas, 475,000 bottles of water, chronos from 2:05 to 6 and 42.195 km course to run!
We expect plate rack to introduce additional activities on the course as well as a few surprises that you can experience the day! In addition, there will also be the "Paris Breakfast Run" to be held on the eve of the marathon. This small 5km race starting from the finish line of the marathon and going to the foot of the Eiffel Tower will allow foreign runners to discover Paris while running. Icing on the cake, participants can enjoy a breakfast at the French plate rack at the end of their journey (more information: http://bit.ly/1fVOe3H)!
The fondest memories I have of Paris Marathon takes place on the finish line. The whole atmosphere, the sense of accomplishment, palpable emotion, tears ... All these things make the end of the marathon unforgettable.
